Thomas Swanson, M.D.

Dr. Swanson graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Eastern Michigan University. He obtained his MD degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, where he was twice on the National Deans List.

He began his medical training in Internal Medicine for one year at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit MI. He went on to his Neurology Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After leaving Mayo, he spent two years in a Neurophysiology Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Here Dr. Swanson was awarded the prestigious Dana Neuroscience Fellowship and a Research Award from the Epilepsy Foundation of America.

Dr. Swanson has held faculty appointments at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, the Cleveland Clinic, the Medical College of Ohio, Bowling Green State University, Oberlin College, and now at the University of Montana.
